how do i determine what i need for power of attorney. I have a living will set up. but what specifically do i need for my adult children to handle my home and assets if i become incapacatated? lostluv

You need a Durable Power of Attorney. Please see an estate attorney to help you draft this document. Tell the attorney exactly what you want for the agent (person named POA) to do regarding your assests to pay for your care in the event that you should become incompetent. This is a document with which there is a lot of fiduciary abuse rampant upon the part of the agent when the agent has his/her own agenda rather than what the grantor (you) wants.
