She is asking for the divorce, he may are might not agree.

She lives in Alabama now, and he still lives in Virginia.
The two state are very different, and Virginia has harsher law.

Which states laws would apply??

Let me begin by telling you that I'm no lawyer. I have done extensive research in this area due to my pending divorce.
Which ever states you're the resident in is the state that you file in. The person in the other state must agree to give that state juristiction over him or her to complete the procedure. Whom ever files first pretty much has control from what I can see with mine. Good luck think smart. The bill can raise quickly if your not.
