In September of this year my husband and I made a verbal agreement for someone we know to put a new heater in our home. My husband gave him a check for the full amount and wrote in the memo section what it was for. Well, it is now December 19th and I still have no heater. He infomed me that the guy who was getting the heater ran off with my heater and also the money he gave him to purchase a heater for himself. I have been hearing I'll put it in this weekend so much I'm begining to thing that we will be adding weekends to te year. My husband is currently deployed to the Mediteranian and I'm starting to wonder i h is taking advantage of that fact. What can I do??

Debbie,

I would write the guy a certified, receipt requested, letter and make it very business-like.
Demand a full refund and take your business elsewhere if you get it back. Give him 10 days to respond in your demand letter.

If he does not respond, file a small claims action and sue his butt. Thats what I would do. And don't let him take advantage.

just my humble opinion
