hi,
here is my case. could someone PLEASE tell me if I may win or not if I take it to court, or if this constitutes as a case I can take to court at all.
I am in college and belong to a national sorority, and every term it only allows 4 people to become inactive. I applied too late for this inactive status, and as a result I was forced to be active. However, I never attended a single event hosted by the sorority, or had anything to do with it. Yet they are still charging me $240 for social and house fees. I am really annoyed they are doing this because I did NOTHING to incur these fees.
Now they are threatening to get a collections agency to get the money from me, which they claim will ruin my credit. I think it is highly unreasonable that they are charging me AND threatening me when I didn't do a single thing with them. (plus, some sisters they are huh?)
On a legal standpoint, do I have a case?
