Can I sue my bank? My bank mailed me someone elses bank account information along with mines. Can I sue them because I feel that they are handling our personal information carelessly. I don't trust them now because they probably have mailed my account information to someone else. i don't believe this, i don't know what steps i should take first. I feel i should contact the member first, but i don't want the member to be upset with me. i feel if i contact the bank they are going to cover this big problem up. I really feel violated because now i am put in a really bad situation that is causing me great stress. Pls respond.

You haven't been violated the other person was because you got their information. Get a new bank.- There is no lawsuit.

Unless you have PROOF that YOUR information was sent to someone else, the only one who has any kind of case is the person whose information you received. You don't get to sue for something that might happen.

I'm also curious why you posted this in the Defamation forum. Nothing you have posted has any connection to defamation, slander or libel law.
