Do I have a case?

My State: West Virginia, eastern panhandle

I went to a resort/casino in Maryland. While there had lunch. My soup, corn and shrimp chowder contained broken glass or very hard plastic. After chomping down on a piece I called over a server and they took my dish and immediately took it to the kitchen. I did not break any teeth and did not cut myself. Resort/casino, restaurant and security management came and took my info. They inquired if I was ok and then I was asked if I was a guest staying at the resort. The only thing that they did for me was to take the soup off my bill. Do I have any type of case?

Soups with shrimp as an ingredient often contain shrimp shells. That is possibly what you chomped down on.

But, even if your chowder unintentionally included a broken glass or very hard plastic addition, if you suffered no injury, you have no case. The restaurant did the right thing by not charging you for the soup.

You have the case only if you suffered any injury.
