i am from the state of iowa. i have two cell phones in my name (one for myself and one for my husband). my name is the only one on the account. in november, my husband dropped his phone and it broke. he tried to call the company to change the plan from shared minutes to a single plan. they replied he could not change the plan because his name was not on the account. however, the company changed us to a plan and we had no idea that they changed it. we finally received a call from the company saying they were sending our account to collections. this is the first we found out of the changed plan. we have been paying our monthly payments of what our account has always been. when we called to correct the situation, the company said that my husband can change the plan as long as he has my social secutiy number and b-day. that means anyone with my b-day and ss# can change my account? every time we call, we get a different person and a different answer. they have even said that thay cannot connect us to a supervisor that my husband previously talked to (as this supervisor said that the bill would be taken care of and we would be put on our old plan. do we have a case in small claims?

I guess I don't understand your post. I can't see where you have been damaged by whether they changed the calling plan or not, or by what information they require to change the plan.

Were the amounts shown on the monthly statements correct??
Did you pay the amount shown on the monthly statements??
If you didn't, you have no case.
If you did, there wouldn't be a dispute.
