My son was misdiagnosed when he was around 5 yrs. old with ADHD. He was put on Ritalin and Tenex, three times a day. He was not hyper, he just could not do his school work. He took the medication for about 6 yrs. and I had him evaluated by another Psychiatrist who took him off the medication immediately and said that he did not whatsoever have ADHD but a learning disability. He is now 14 yrs. old now and having alot of trouble in school. When he was on the medication the teachers said that they couldn't tell whether he was on it or not. I had talked with someone the other day that had a child that had been on Ritalin for 10 yrs. and now the child is having alot of problems, such as not remembering things and being like a zombie all of the time which that is what the medication does anyway. My sone is also experiencing severe headaches which I have had him tested and they cannot find out the problem. So I was wondering if there is anything that can be done? Thank you. Lisa
