What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? District of Columbia
An employee I supervise sent a "prayer request" on several websites identifying me by full name, saying that she was having "problems" with me because I was an alchoholic and had family problems. When someone googles may name--this information, undocumented and untrue appears. What can I do?

First, it has to be asked. Are you an alcoholic (or could you be perceived by a rational person to be)??
Do you have 'family problems'??

If no to either, you MIGHT have a defamation claim. The problem is.. these cases are NOT cheap or quick...... and any litigation could increase the publicity of the claims.

One other thing to consider.... what damages did those claims cause?
