What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? AL

My ex-husband and I have joint legal custody of a five year old and a ten year old. I have primary physical custody with him having reasonable visitation.

Do I have a legal say as to whether or not our two kids can be left at his residence without an adult present if there is nothing specific addressing it in the divorce decree?

Thank you.

I agree that the short answer is no, you don't have a say. However, your children are young enough that if you feel very very strongly about it...that the 10 year old is not mature enough to be safely left alone or safely left to watch his/her sibling, then you do have the right to take it back to court and try to get it ordered that dad cannot leave the children home alone.

However, its not something that you should do unless you feel very certain that its not safe for them to be left alone. Some children could manage quite well at 10, others could not.
