I live in Washington. A child had fractured or broke his ankle on my property and now his parents medical insurance wants their money back. So, I have submitted all my homeowners insurance to them but I was wondering if I would have to pay my homeowners deductable for something like that? I thought you only have to pay that if there is a lose of something personal you want/need replaced.

I hope YOU also notified YOUR homeowners insurance company.

Good news is you won't have to pay the deductible on this type of claim. This can turn into a lawsuit down the road, and if so, the deductible would be the least of the problems.
