Then you go to court and argue that the amount is wrong. If you don't show up you risk a default judgment.

fellas plz .... no troll here ... if anyone in *******, IL wanna help .... i did nothing the apartment was fine,,, he suing for $2,500 but all it needed was a $200 professional cleaning job, i never had parties i only had my parents over 1 time and my tennis partner over 1 time for 10 minutes

Read the TOS of this site. Call the IL state Bar Assoc for an attorney referral.

The court has the official big document. You can get a copy from them.

Go to the hearing and bring video/pic's of the apartment when you moved out...also make sure you bring pic's from the day you moved in.
