What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

My roommate (ex-boyfriend) moved out on June 30th, 2017, and had signed a lease at an apartment complex down the road. They had ended up moving because of domestic violence charges against them. Both of our names are on the land contract, however they have not paid any rent since they moved out. Additionally they never changed the water bill over to me so their name is on that as well. I am currently in the process of filing a PPO order against him because I cannot take the years of emotional abuse that he has done to me and my children. Now he is threatening to move back in to make our lives miserable. The man that we were buying the house from has my name down on the receipts that show that I am the one that has been paying the house payment(s).

Do I have to let him back into the house even though he hasn't paid a single dime towards the house payment or the water bill?

If he was charged with domestic violence against you that should have made a protection order automatically go into place. Are you sure that you do not already have one? If not, you need to get one immediately.

You and he are buying the house on contract so barring a protection/restraining order, he has every right to be there.
