Today I received a certified letter from my landlord's attorney. It was dated June 26, 2006.
It says that I have to pay the remaining rent and July 1st rent on or before July 1 or I have to vacate immediatley. Ok, I thought I had thirty days? What happens if I dont pay it? Do I have to move in 3 days? What will happen next? I am still waiting for him to come fix the problems in the house. What happend next? Thank you.

What happens next is that if you do not pay they will start eviction proceedings on you and you will not have long after that till you have to move.

Have you requested all of the fixes in writing via certified mail?

The LL has given you a choice, pay the rent or move out. You have three days to decide.

If you do not pay up or move out within the 3 days, the LL will file for eviction.

No, I havent requested them in writing, we were only given a number to contact him. I do not even know where the landlord lives. This is our first months rent. We got the letter saying that we had to pay or move, but when we called the landlord he was not willing to take the rest of the rent he said he just wants us to move, because the city is on him due to the sewer and the tree in the back yard, what that has to do with me moving I still dont know unless he is unhappy that I complained. So I will be moving I know for sure, I just cant do it in 3 days that is why I was asking how long I have. Thank you for your reponses.
