What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IN
I am single, have no assests outside of my car which is going to be included in the bankruptcy. I have a full list of all my creditors and know I have to take a pre filing credit course to include with my filing. I filed without an attorney back in 99 without any issue, is there any real reason I would need one this time? I know how to fill out the forms, I know about the pre filing course and have nothing outside of my car that is of value. What if anything am I missing?

The fact that you have to ask what you are missing indicates that you do need an attorney. If you knew enough to do it all yourself, then you would not have to ask. Bankruptcy is very complex, and it has changed a good bit since the last time you filed. Most bankruptcy attorneys will make some payment arrangements if you do not have all the money at the time you need to file. The results of errors in a bankruptcy can be very costly and can haunt you for years. You should get an attorney.

I know there are some changes, was hoping someone who filed without an attorney could give some insight. I didn't find filing last time that difficult, you list your debtors, you list your assests and such. I know now you have to take a pre filing credit course, just not sure if any other things added. Also only reason filing this time is because economy went into tank, lost job and income, now working making about half of what I did. No other choice.
