I live in Texas. In 1997 I was in a car accident. There was insurrmountable evidence against the woman that hit me(i.e.open container in the car,no insurance, DWI,etc.)At the time my parents didn't allow me to do anything about it, and thus their insurance had to pay all of the medical bills. My question is is the statute of limitations up, and if not what steps do I need to take to start a personal injury lawsuit?

My response:

It depends. How old are you now? What was the exact date of the accident? How old were you then? What were the total medical bills? Do you have any residual pains, or medical problems as a result of the accident? Did your parents sign a "Parental Release"? As to this last question, if they did, you can do nothing.
