This is very complicated....so I will try to be brief. My parents went through a bankrupty. They owned a fast food restaurant and my dad worked it full time, however my mom worked at the bank that handled all of the restaurants finances. When they declared bankrupty, the bank told them that they found someone who would take over the SBA loan, however that person had no collateral. So they wanted to keep my parents house as collateral on the loan. My parents said no! Then the president of the bank came in to talk to them and told them that if they f.... things up that their name would be history at the bank and that they would make it legal. My dad said...do you mean that you would fire her (my mom)? The president said yes and it would be legal. So my parents were told them that they needed to keep their house on the loan if my mom wanted to keep her job. What was their choice? They put a lein on the house but they were told that after 6 months they would review it and possibly lift the lein. Six months later..... my parents did not make any payments on the loan because they did not trust the bank. My dad gets a job 9 hours away, and they need to get rid of the house. Their choices are: 1. Sell the house with a $200 thousand dollar lein on it (who would by it) they owe $120,000 and it is worth about $190,000 however we live a small community and nothing is selling right now. 2) let the house go back to the bank 3) My husband and I take over the house (however my husband will not take over the payments with the lein on the house) So my dad went in to the bank to see if they would remove the lein since 6 months will be up in June....and guess what ...they said oh we did not say 6 months we said 1 year. This bank has a history of lies. When my parents bankrupty attorney requested a written copy of some agreements she received nothing. My mom has been harressed by them. For instance she was fell down stairs at work and has missed work many times for physical thearpy and they wrote her up in her review for too much time lost this year. Give me a break!!!! It was because of her injury at work. My parents built this house and my husband , I and our 3 daughters were looking forward to living in this house and now the Bank of Whitman in Colfax WA has screwed us!!!!! I do not know what to do. I know that this bank is very crooked as do many other people in the community. but nobody will stand up to them, The president has made himself very wealthy by screwing people out of their assests. He has to be stopped!!!!!!!! What do we do? My parents are moving to Oregon and they are letting the house foreclose because we do not feel that we have any other choice. Can someone please please tell me if I am off my rocker or if I can fight them. I really do hate them ( the funny thing is....I use to babysit for the president of the bank when I was a kid....and I was always at their house....I really feel that he has become evil because of his success. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I AM SO DEPRESSED! I CAN'T STOP CRYING! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
