What is the name of your state? Ga.

my mother inlaws husband pass away over a year ago. he had written out a will nothing fancy, and had 3 people witness it. my question is does a will have to be notorized in order to be a legal document?also he had left her some property 4 acres, but she has never went and had it deeded to her. would the will that her wrote out leaving the 4 acres to her be all she would need tp get this property transfered into her name?
thanks in advance for any help you could give me.

According to this, a notarization is required only if you want to make the will self-proving.

File the will in probate court and the court will decide if the will is valid.
