The company I worked for shutdown operations earlier this month with 2 days notice and no back wages, vacation pay or health benefits paid. They also stiffed members with company related credit card bills(company cards). My question is, if the Judge ruled that the employees ddn't show a need to be paid now, how can me make it known that we and our families are the ones suffering?

Please provide more information to us. Why is a judge involved? Did the company file bankruptcy? Who represented the employees? What is going on here?

The background info of KTTYE will be more informative than me re-typing everything. Just a little, Kitty Hawk Inc owned several airlines and a major cargo facility. Earlier this month they filed chpt 11 Bankruptcy but ONLY Suspended operation of the UNIONIZED carrier( Kitty Hawk International ). Everyone else and some office personnel of Kitty Hawk International are still being paid but many of the pilots and other workers were terminated without pay.
Yahoo has some great reading that will catch all of you up. symbol ( Kttye ) or ( Ktty )

Your claim for wages due you, as well as the vacation pay, has not been erased by the court. Rather, you and the others have to file a claim, in the proper form and in the right time frame, with the bankruptcy court. You and all other employees who have a claim for wages up to $2,000 will be given priority over general creditors if the money was earned during the 90 days before the bankruptcy was filed.

A claim for wages, vacation pay, severance pay over $2,000 will be grouped with other general creditors. Your employer should have provided you with the proper forms to make a claim by your employer.

You can also contact the state labor commissioner for assistance with this matter.
