i work for a bank and i have a
joint checking with my husband at
this same bank.i found out that
the bank credited my acct(back
pay) and then debited my acct the
same day for a payroll adjustment
after sending me a statement with
the back amounts. all this was
done without my consent or
knowledge resulting in bounced
checks. is it legal for an
employer to do this with an
employee's personal checking acct?

do you have direct deposit? Is it normal for the bank to pay directly into your bank account? If so, then I don't think they did anything bad. But if they normally pay you by check, you can question their actions. Good luck!
