Dog Bite in work place

I have a question because I dont know where to go. I worked for a sheriff's office in northern ca as a dispatcher. i was told to go to K9 training as part of my training. I was used as a dummy, I would say. I was not explained the exercise al the way and I was bitten on my left arm, I am left handed. After the bite i was on work comp. When the dr released me back to work with my full treatment not completed. I went back for one day and had a break down. I then filed a work comp claim for post tramatic stress and began seeing the therapist. After a while I was doing better and the county was able to transfer me to another job. I have been here for a couple months and now my arm is bothering me so I called the work comp attorney to make sure it was ok to go to the md still since my treatment was not complete. When I called I was told my claim had been closed but they would reopen it. I have extensive scaring and numbness in my arm still. I was looking to sue for pain and suffering since I now have to life with this for the rest of my life. What kind of attorney do i need?

You cannot sue your (former) employer.

If you are injured on the job you generally have no other remedy against the employer.
