What is the name of your state? CA

Hello. Recently, the domain registrant information that I owned was changed without my knowledge and authorization.

Can I prosecute the party under any internet law for criminal malicious act and violation for fraudulent act? I understand that this is a Federal violation and possibly State as well.

I filed for a trademark for a name I have been using and is there anyway I can send a cease and decease letter to the party that are using the .net extension with the same name base on I'm first in commerce in a different state to use the Company name, than the party, and also base on the fact that I filed for trademark.? Can I ask them to transfer eventhough the party is the one that registered the domain. Am I being protected in anyway?

How should I go about it? Please help!

Thank you.

you may, and i repeat may, have a case under WIPO's UDRP. THere are too many facts missing from your convoluted first post to tell for sure. Look at WIPo_Org and see how your case fits.

This is not legal advice, but only genreal information and we have no attorney client relationship.

thank you ChicagoLawyer

I apologize for the confusion. I was asking two separate questions in one post.

I have checked WIPO and UDRP sites and learnt as much as I could. However, there was no similar cases to my situation. I was hoping for more specific answers to my problems.

Thanks again for your help.
