Could you prove to the arresting officers that he had hit you? If he was hitting you, it would probably be a better idea to call the police in the first place, rather than throw a rock through a window which can be used as evidence enough to arrest you.

Two wrongs dont make it right...

I found out a long time ago, many issues concerning Domestic cases are not fair, however when you lower yourself to the level of your attacker, you are as liable as well, I am not trying to be insensitive to your situation, I am just saying that had you called the police, instead of taking matters in your own hands things may have turned out better. (exception: If you life is endangered and you must defend your life)

I would hope that you have not returned to that home, to subject yourself to further violence. Consider this a lesson learned.

Take care of yourself, and use your experence to help others when the time arrives..

Note: Once years ago, I ws beaten,,when I tryed to run for help and call police,, he attempted to break my leg with a broom handle, he understood the law enought to know that he might get away with this if he called first...after he disabled me he place me in a chair, (I could not walk) and called the police. We were both arrested, because he cut his hand breaking the broom, they used that to arrest me..so like I said Nothing in life is fair..but I have learn and learn well. all the best to you,

continuation of my first post

I don't know if anyone realizes that i was not just thrown out of the house. in the house he was hitting on me, i begged his brother to call the police while in the house i was pinned down to the bed and he would not-they waited till he threw me out to call them.
