Double Credit Received??

I just received a letter from a collection company in amsterdam. It says that in the past I have bought a product in the past (Dated 5/6/2001). The leter says your credit card institution has refunded this transaction to your account. The company has also refunded this transaction to your account. Please pay the refunded amount back.

At first I thought this was a hoax. To be honest, I don't remember such a transaction, and secondly, to make such a statement almost 4 years later????

Proof

Tell them you need copies of both credited transactions and a copy of the sales receipt with your signiture and the account #,if they dont have proof how can they say you owe them?The sales receipt will tell you what was sold.
