Me and a friend would like to start a Mobile DJ Service. Is it illegal to use material downloaded from like Kazaa, Napster, Morpheus?

We have downloaded over 1000 songs and burned to CD's, for our use in the DJ business. We are NOT burning copies of the cd's and selling them.

Any advice on this would be very VERY much appreciated.

*** No. You cannot use these 'pirated' songs in any commercial application. In fact, legally simply possessing them without your actually owning the original CD is a violation of copyright.

*** Still illegal. And even worse since you will be using them for commercial purposes. Not only a hand-slap, but a potential BIG BUCKS fine.
