What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
South Carolina
Out of curiosity I have heard very mixed things on this issue. I have been through a lecture with a state cop who claimed if you are on property with your parents and they provide you alcohol and they are knowing and okay with you drinking then it is okay. (You must stay on the property when under the influence though.)
Others have said that it under no circumstances is legal.
What I believe is that the law is kind of a double standard in the sense that law does not state that it is okay to drink underage under any circumstances. But, the police/government cannot tell parents how to raise their children within their household which permits parents to give then alcohol. (Only their children)
I just want a confirmed answer so when I bring up the topic with someone I have my facts straight. A reliable source would be preferred since there are way to many that are inaccurate!
Thanks,
Kyle
