What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Calif. I got a citation for speeding in 1996 &
i did'nt appear in court, as a result i had a hold placed on my licence & it did'nt take long before everything went to hell in a handbag real quik, to make a long story short i ended up with 5 violations for driving on a suspended licence, no regs, no insurance, 3 in my town, 2 in other county's.
At one point the DMV wanted 4 abstracts before i could get back my licence, now the DMV say's they only need 1 abstract from me to have my licence reissued, they said too many years have passed to hold them against me.
In my county it's still 3 violations & i must appear in court on all 3, does the court still hold those 3 against me, or will they follow suiit with the DMV & just punish me for the 1 violation & toss the other 2 out? what should i expect when i show up for court next week. Thank's, Sharon.

What they hold against you really depends on what the charges were and when they were made. If they never went to warrant, then the SOL may have tolled on some of them. If they did go to warrant then you will likely have to appear on all of them.

Some counties don't take this lightly. You may be required to jail time. Or, you may be released on probation and a fine.

Nobody can say for sure.

But, to be safe, be ready to go in to jail.
