I am a law school graduate. WHat I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Okay, I don't think I have to tell you smoking or doing any DRUG IS STUPID AND DUMB AND MAKES YOU VERY LAME. YOU DON'T LOOK COOL DOING IT, IT RUINS YOUR LIFE and MAKES YOU VERY ANTI SOCIAL. NO, IT DOESN'T MAKE YOU MORE CREATIVE. I AM in the ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY AS A CONTRACTS SPECIALIST and those artists I see who do this stuff wind up making the most stupid lame and dumb records that flop.

So, enough of the lecture. Anything you take stays in your system. What many, 95% of most courts I know, do is order hair analysis exams. They test for the presence of drugs in your system (and the test knows the diff between you being around a pot head and actually doing it yourself) up to 90 days prior. SO, it tests for everything: crack, cocaine, heroine, meth, pot, etc.

SO, if you get pulled over and they test your urine for smoke (after a cop determines with road tests that you seem to be high), it tests up to six weeks of use. SO, the lessen is, DONT SMOKE!

Thank you for your quick reply! Actually its not me that has this horrible problem. My husband has this horrible addiction that has ruined everything and everyon he has touched. I can't get him to leave the house and was hoping by some threaad of hope that him driving around high would be a possible way to get him away from here. He ahs been to 4 treatment centers and nothing works. He's not violent but steals, sales and spends every penny he makes ....

remember my disclaimer,

ok, may i suggest you get a temporary restraining order, which will then filed to turn into a permanent restraining order, against him. To do this, contact your legal aid foundation in your county ( look up in the front of your yellow pages under community guide, then search in there under legal services).

This may be your best route!

You want to expose everyone on the streets to a crackhead driver in the hopes that the police will eventually arrest him and put him in jail? Do you expect this to happen before or after he kills someone with the car?

Take some responsibility. Close the bank accounts, cancel the credit cards, and file for a legal separation tomorrow. Include an emergency order requesting that you get use of the marital home and he be restrained from coming within 100 feet of you. Flush his drugs, throw him out, and change the locks. If he's taken anything that was your separate property, file a complaint against him for theft. You can't make him get better. All you can do is get away from him before he completely ruins your life or kills someone.

Thanks Tracy, your definitly right. We have no credit cards, thanks to him and MY bank account is COMPLETELY empty, but we still ahve a few valuables in the house. I called our local sherrif yesterday to try to get him removed but the answer I got from dispatch is" I'm sorry sweetie , he is your husband and he has a right to be there"
Go figure?
I am more than willing to go file for divorce, but I have NOTHING to give them. I am penniless! I get paid every 2 weeks and only draw a little over $450 for 2 weeks.
Thanks for taking the time to help. I greatly appreciate your advice!

Well, the sheriff is right that he can be in the house UNTIL a court issues a restraining order or an emergency order pending divorce. Visit the courthouse and ask to talk to the family law/divorce coordinator. Chances are s/he can point you to state-approved forms you can just fill in and file on your own. There may also be a state program to pay the divorce filing fee in installments or to reduce it for low-income petitioners. Also, check the local legal aide society & call the state bar to see if any attorneys are doing pro bono divorce work in your area.

Remove the valuables - mail them to mom if you must.
