The two previous times I retained attorneys that were unable to reduce the charges & I paid the maximum under NYS law. I wish not to have an attorney if I'm just going to get in the same amount of hot water. Is there a way I can represent myself effectively in a court of law & be able to bargain with the District Attorney?

You certainly can't do any worse than your prior attorneys! Check with your local library for self-help legal books on defending a DUI. Also check out www.nolo.com.

This is not legal advice and you are not my client. Double check everything with your own attorney and your state's laws.
