state:georgia, diving through i was pulled over for a headlight violation, and was frisked for weapons and caught
with methamphetamine,i went to civil court so far and my
attorney allowed me to take the stand and subsequently
incrimanate myself for transportation across state lines.
i had no idea about the law and he allowed me to do this.
i am stillawaiting criminal court, but my fear is what can
happen now,this went from,possesion with intent,an unloaded
legal firearm in the glove box to,to possible federal prosecution now.i am concerned with whatcould possibly be
very serious now.the whole reason i am facing new charges
is possibly because of my attorney allowing me to incrimante myself.what canbe done if anything?this would be
a fist time offense.the charges were poss.with intent to
dist.poss. of a firearm in commision of a felony and poss.
of a drug related object.but can the federal prosecution
be brought to bear?and what kind of penalties cancome out
of this?
