What is the name of your state? NEW YORK

I should have been more elaborate, sorry. My problem is that I tried to purchase a medication that required a prescription which I did not have at the time. Then, when Drugstores-online tried to debit my checking account for the cost of the script, as well as, their mandatory membership fee of $99 for a one-yr. membership, I did not have enough funds in my checking account to cover any of it. Yes, a BIG mistake, I know. I've since been under the care of my private physician and have obtained my script, but cannot get this online company to cancel my request or their so-called membership which will never be used. They have a collection agency after me for $99 plus a $25 fee for not having funds in my acct., and now it's up to $145 for keeping the med I wanted on hold. Looks like the amount is going to keep going. They are going to put this negative action on all three of my credit reports. I've written a letter of dispute to their collection agency as it said in their letter to do, but got no reply. I've been in contact with the BBB, but all they do is forward any response they get from Drugstores-online to me and ask what I choose to do next. Should I just eat the $145 and chalk it up to the school of hard knocks? I should have done my homework beforehand about this company. There are many, many complaints about this company on the web, mostly from people who, unfortunately, paid their dues, but are completely unsatisfied with their "sneaky" tactics of enticing you into thinking that their doctors will give you the scripts you need. They cannot get their scripts, and the company will NOT refund their membership fee. They will not cancel your account. My case is a little different in that they were unable to get funds from my account. I am not out any money as of yet. What do I do?
