What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MARYLAND

I am 17 years old, and a first time offender.

About a week ago, I was driving under the influence, and at about 12:30- 1 am I swerved off of the road and hit a tree. I have no recollection of the accident as I blew a .26 i believe, and suffered a concussion. Not sure if this is relevant but I injured my leg and shoulder as well.

I have been charged with:
DRIVING WHILE IMPAIRED BY ALCOHOL
DRIVING, ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE) MOTOR VEHICLE WITH ALCOHOL IN BLOOD IN VIOLATION OF RESTRICTION
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL PER SE
DRIVING VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Under my charges, I have found that it says "WITNESS FOR STATE" and then there is 3 names of people that i am guessing witnessed the accident.

My question is, Do I need a lawyer? What is the worst that could happen with these three witnesses, and what does that mean? And What is the worst that could happen if I do not consult a lawyer?

Btw: I have already started to attend AA meetings, and also am planing to do community service as soon as my arm heals. I am also planning to take a drug/alcohol class asap. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You're underage, facing a DWI with accident and a BAC 3 times the legal limit, and you're asking if you need an attorney?

Yes your parents or guardians need to get you an attorney.
