What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law) I live in Kansas and have recieved two DUI's which after the second one requires a two year ignition interlock on my car. I am one year in and have one more year two go until my liscense will no longer be restricted. My problem is that my job is requesting and requiring me to move to California. I have asked lawyers in Kansas and California and have been told because of NDR that I can not transfer my liscense to a California restricted one and finish my restriction there because its a Kansas restriction which I understand. I have been told I must keep my Kansas liscense until Kansas releases the restriction and I will have to just have a kansas liscense. My problem is that every other month I have to recalibrate it with the interlock company who reports to Kansas. Can I get a interlock company in California that would report to Kansas so that I am still following through with what I need to with my restriction requirments? No DMV, Lawyer, or Interlock secretary has been able to know. I can not quit a job I have had for over a decade but also cannot quit the restriction period or I'll never have a liscense ever again anywhere, or would someday have to move back to kansas and start the whole restriction period over again. Does anyone know the law of the keeping with the interlock as required by Kansas but using a interlock that is a California company?

That seems like it would be a question for the California and Kansas DMV's, not an attorney.
