What is the name of your state? CA

Hello,

Situation:
I was driving on a street w/o headlights on,was pulled over and then got a DUI.There were NO accidents,NO hit and run case, etc. Was later handcufffed take to police station.Took a breath test and blood test.

I am yet to get the results for the blood-test.I DONT have a SINGLE ticket till date for speeding,or any other thing. This is my first ticket.I have a court datein a month.

Questions:

1)I have a PA liscence,so how does CA treat this case??

2)Could you please suggest some good lawyers in the bay-area-CA(santa-clara,sunnyvale)?

3)What is the worst-case that could happen for a first time offense?

4)I was just handcuffed,so is this equivalent to an arrest??

All the help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

1. Both states are members of the Non Resident Violator's Compact. What this means, if California suspends your privelige to drive, Pennsylvania will suspend your license. Pennsylvania could also tack on additional penalties not given in California, it depends on the PA laws. Basically, the penalty you receive in California will follow you home.

2. That is what the Yellow Pages are for. The guys with the big ads are generally the most successful.

3. Copy and paste the following URL into your browser:

4. Yep.
