we did a dumb thing...we wanted to sign an eight month lease on our apartment. Our quick application, which was accompanied by our earnest money clearly stated the lease term as eight months and was signed and dated by the apt. manager. My husband later signed the lease, but there were no dates of tenancy on the lease when he signed. He verbally confirmed that the lease was to be only eight months. The manager agreed and said "the dates had just not been typed in yet." I signed at a later date but don't recall if the dates were typed in yet or not. After this manager was fired, a new manager dropped off a copy of the lease, which was a full-year-lease. We have not yet pursued the discrepancy in lease terms, but due to neighbor problems we want out at the eight-month mark. Do we have any recourse of action?

YES it was dumb, Signing a contract with blank spaces..... YOU LOSE......no one will listen to you....

So Next time you will know better....SO >>>>>>

Just suck it up with the neighbor for the 4 months give you 30 day notice you will not renew, take lots of pictures before you move in case they refuse to give you back your security, and fullfill your contract...thats the BEST answer!
