What is the name of your state? Maine

Me and my fiance have been together almost two years, we were drinking one night and got into an argument. She slapped me twice and I was so drunk I was not thinking and slapped her back. We argued for a while after that and she was told if she did not call the cops someone else was going to so she did. When we were out in front of the officers she was telling me to shut up because I had admitted to doing it without her saying anything - She did not even want me to go to jail - I put my hand on her chest (not innapropriately) and pushed her about 2 inches back, I was not trying to hurt her or anything. I was then led away in handcuffs and spent the night in jail and was charged with Assault (DV). I was released on bail but part of the condition is, since we share an apartment that I can not return to my address and I can have no contact with her. (I said she slapped me at first but the cops didnt really care and I didnt want to get her in trouble, I didnt know I would be arrested). We share a car, rent and other bills and she has been without a job for over a month now. I know she still wants to see me again and does not want to be apart and I really want to go home to her, not only so I can apoligize and make things up but so that we can get our bills paid and not have our stuff repossesed. I have a bail hearing on the 20th but I want to know if there is anything I can do to get this dropped or reviewed earlier? and if so, what do I have to do to show them I am not going to do it again? Im going out of my mind here because I slapped her and I do not have a history of violence. As a side note I have started going to AA and have completely sworn off drinking, I am also attending anger management as well. I just want to know what I can say or do legally because they probably here stuff like this all the time. Also this is my first offense.
