What is the name of your state? Texas, I got a DWi in Dec of 2003 and went to court amd the Asst District Attorney offered me a deal of 40 hours community service, 1 year probation, take a alcohol class, and a fine of 400.00, and license suspended for 6 months. I should have gotten my license back in July 04, and when I called Dps they said I will not get my license back until next year. What can I do about my license, I go to school and work part time.

Do you have that in writing, that is, what you said the asst da agreed upon? Did you have a lawyer when you went to court at that time. If so your lawyer should be able to take care of the problem with little difficulty or further charge. Furthermore, the court where you were tried or sentenced will have a written and possibly an audio recording of the sentencing issued by the judge. That's your right to ask for it since it's public information. Whatever the judge said is what you will have to go by. Check it out if your lawyer can't or won't do it for you. Good Luck.
