I received an email threat from someone I know, "I hope you burn in Hell" is this a crime? what can I do? I live in Ohio

The statement "I hope you burn in hell" would probably not be read as a threat, since it does not indicate that the speaker
himself or herself intends to cause you any harm. If he/she had said, instead, that he/she would do something to you directly or indirectly, then that might be read as a threat.
