What is the name of your state? Texas

I am electronically subpoenaing witnesses for a small claims trial as a subpoena deuces tecum, they will be providing statements via video conference and I am requesting they produce documents. I am submitting the request to the court in writing and to be sent to the witnesses via email, but my question is, how can I request the documents produced be sent to me before the trial to submit as evidence? If even possible.

Well, since a subpoena duces tecum is an order to attend a trial and bring listed documents with them, it would appear your method, if you wish to have the documents prior to trial, is flawed

I don’t know if witnesses are subject to discovery in Texas small claims but that’s the only way I can see you obtaining the materials prior to court
