EAD denied, pending i485

We just learned that the EAD was denied but haven't recieved the denial letter yet. Does this mean that the i485 will be denied as well? My husband's visa expired on 1/15/2010 and we are still waiting to hear about the i485

Usually it's the other way around--if the I-485 is denied, then everything filed on the basis of the I-485 is denied. What is the reason for the EAD denial?

We haven't received the denial letter yet to know why they denied it. However, his i485 was origionally accepted in June 2009 then closed and denied. It was reopened on the governments own accord because of a fault and now it has been pending since 10-5-2009 from appeal. We have contacted our senator and he said it was accepted and went to his supervisor. Its seems so fishy and now we are truly scared.

I am the original poster of this thread. We are still waiting for the denial letter to come regarding the EAD. Has anyone ever heard of a denial letter written on white paper stating that someone is denied for both the EAD and the i485?

Yes, if it is a denial letter from USCIS, it typically comes on their letterhead but on white paper.

Each case normally has its own denial letter. One for the I-765/EAD, one for the I-485/PR.
