I am 43 years of age, my pension company said I will get £8700 a year unreduced early retirement pension due to ill health, they said they will be also offering me a lump sum and reduced pension. Can you tell me what I should expect to get as a lump sum.
Yours Faithfully,
James

James:

My only indicator that you are not from the United States is that you are using the Pound symbol (England?) and not a Dollar symbol. While the Internet is worldwide, the contributors to this site, and the people who respond, are predominantly from America, and dealing with American law. I, for one, cannot assist you except to say that you might want to ask your pension company, or speak with an attorney who deals with pension issues.

From all of us on the other side of the Pond, we wish you good health, and good fortune.
