early lease termination

I am interested in terminating my apartment lease based on safety issues. I am within the first 30 days of my lease and yesterday my neighbor(same apt building) was forcefully arrested and his apartment seized and searched for drugs. I am concerned about the safety of the area now and my lease includes my right to a peaceful quiet environment. My original lease is for three months. Any information or feedback appreciated.

I doubt very seriously that what happens in adjacent apt would be reason for your breaking your lease.

Make sure that management/landlord knows what is going on with the police, arrest, etc.

Rememer - person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
