My parents just received a letter from the IRS saying that I owe a 10% penalty for early withdraw from my IRA. When we called about it, they said I may qualify for an exemption because I'm a full-time graduate student. I tried to call the IRS again for more information, but unfortunately I didn't have an hour to be put on hold and had to hang up. Does anyone know about this exemption?
