Michigan--We share an easement with another property owner to get back to our two pieces of property which is landlocked. I understand that the servient tenement property owner owns the easement--we just are able to use it to access our property. My question is even though the two of us with landlocked property are responsible for upkeep and maintenance, do the owners of the easement have the right to use our private driver without having to help with upkeep?

Generally yes since they are owners of the property.
But the easement agreement may state the real situation.
