I recently signed a contract to purchase a new house. A few days ago, I noticed that there is water meter installed in my fence for the community. The Home association told us that it is installed in the easement area. However, The survey we got shows that it is not. My question is:

Will all easement area has to be show on the survey map ?
Does the builder has the obligation to remove it ?

Thanks

Johnny

Tell them to remove it and see what happens. In general, utility companies get easements without problems.

They refused to move it and they also want to change the survey.

By the way, The water meter control box belongs to home owner association and it controls the sprinkle system for community entry landscape. It has nothing to do utility companies. We are just trying to avoid any future dispute with home owner association for access that control box.

Thanks

Johnny
