Approximatley 12 days ago I won a bid on ebay as I've done a few times before. After sending initial payment of $40 to seller via USPS/M.O. priorty mail, an email was sent the following day advising that an additional $5 should be paid because Im in the V.I. I wasmore than willing to pay and received my item when I got an emaill from the seller saying "anymore emails like this & I'll tell you to F%$& off" my response was, hey what's this all about ? he responded by insulting me some more. After numerous emails trying to conclude the sale I decided to contact the seller via phone since they werent answering my questions and acted as though I cursed their mom, bid, won the item and decided i dont want it. NOT SO! I requested my money back letting them know that what their doing isnt right, how could you disrespect a buyer for no reason and expect them to want to do business with you. To conclude I submitted a negative feedback and He replied via email that the transaction is voided, I can sue him and F$%# off. Can someone help me out on what to do now!
PS: I contact ebay support and that wasnt any help. NO MONEY, NO ITEM. and i did send the additonal $5 , so that makes it 45 in all, I know its only $45 but suppose it would more and mostly the principle of the matter.

A: Yes. If it's just the principle of the matter, then get over it.

ebay

So do I just let them rip me off for $45, or should I continue the issue with their local BBB?
I tell you one thing, this has sure discouraged me from ever ebaying again. I think what made me mad is, I honestly tried to help with the shipping issue and they got all stink!
thanks for responding

Just put it in a positive light. You have just paid $45 dollars for a lesson in social interaction and also a lesson in business ethics.
What a deal!

Let it go - move along now

Why not file an item not recieved through Ebay? They will ask for proof of payment and you will have to submit the # from your money order. If they don't help in getting your money back then your pretty much out of luck. It costs about $15 to get a copy of the signed money order and then you will have to sue them in small claims in their state which anyone smart enough would know it would cost more then the $45.

You might also want to send a certified, restricted letter letting them know of your intentions if you don't recieve your money or the item.

Thanks for your response. I've already filed an ebay complaint for item not received and a complaint with Better Business Bureau of that state and I intend to do nothing else. I sent the money orders priority with signature confirmation before it all started. But need less to say this has deterred me from ebaying and as advised I look at it as a lesson learnt.
