Ebay Listings of pics of wife etc

hi to all, just a quick question to which some1 will have the answer. I'v been on ebay and i'm a student looking for car parts, came across a golf mk2 car parts but upon clicking the link, it lead me to a discription saying he was selling pictures of his wife before they split up, i figured this was all fake. As the girl pictured was a model. Since then i'v seen few other listings like this:

My question is is this completely legal to do? Can anyone just use these pictures and sell them on ebay to make a buck? Doesnt the law have any inforcement?

It looks like a phishing scam to get personal info to me. There's several similar auctions under different new usernames and coming from limeyville.

Go to the security link at the Ebay site and report all of these auctions by number. Legal/illegal....not sure, but not worth getting into. Against Ebay policies? Almost certainly. A risk to users? Almost certainly.

well i'm not gona bother reading all the ebay laws but genrely legal to sell items like that or not? i dont think he scammin as the feedback seems ok.

well i came to this forum for advise and i'd have thought you'd have experiance in this field. So it safes the little man like me doing the running. I only asked if it legal or not. Not if he a dodgy dealer etc.

The feedbacks seem ok? Yeah, from 0 to 4 for all the names used.

I suspect that you are the seller and are trying to find out if you're breaking the law. You'll find out....but not by wasting our time.

lololol no way dude i'm not the seller but i'd try and pull of a ebay listing like that to make some cash. yes i'm a student in 800 uk pounds debt (thanks to a university housemate leaving, thinks he got away wid it cause his name wasent on the contract of 10months, hes got it cumin to him).

I have seen those listings on ebay.

I also saw a woman who was looking for a job and she posted her "resume" on e-bay.

I found it amuzing**************. as I also find these photos amusing too.
