Europe/Romania :)
Hello
I have an account with eBay with 99% positive feedback. A few months ago I paid $199 for a radar detector that was never sent. As I made the payment via BidPay.com I knew eBay wouldn`t refund me any money so I chose to ask my bank for a charge back, which they did after 2 months. The seller of the respective item mailled me to tell me he will NOT SEND THE ITEM and HE WILL NOT REFUND and there is nothing I can do about it. Also he issued my account with an unpaid item strike. I contacted eBay safeharbour, appealed the strike, never got EVEN ONE answer, the strike is still there. 2 weeks ago I bought 3 items totalling $10 from 2 different sellers. As I wasn`t home for a week when I came back I wanted to issue the payments and I so did, when I logged in my account was suspended due to the fact I had 2 more strikes on my account, on items I PAID. I contacted the sellers and they answered that they don`t really care because they applied for final value credit and they can`t lift the strikes. As of now my account is susspended for 3 items that I actually paid. I have no unpaid seller fees, I have no obligations what so ever and have a suspended account. If, at this time, I`d be in the US I`d ofcourse sue eBay, being 10.000 milles away makes it however a little bit dificult. Any advice on what International Buyers should do is would be apreciated.

My response:

Life is tough. We don't care about E-Bay sellers or buyers. When you buy or sell across borders, you take your chances. Take it up with E-Bay.

You have to take the entire issue to Ebay. They don't want to lose customers, either. Just keep hitting their "customer service" with your problem, and wait for them to get back to you. I've not had a problem with getting responses from them in the past 2-3 years, so give them another try.

You are Screwed!

Never do Ebay business with anyone outside of the USA for an amount that you cant stand to lose,

Never send money via wire transfer, money order or personal check for any Ebay transactoion.

For any Ebay transaction over $50 I always ask the seller for his name, address and phone# before I put in a bid...and I call him at the number given and do a google search on the phine number.
