Ebay Ripoff

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah.I bought a computer using postal money orders (sent by priority mail),receipt was aknowledged Aug.19,was told computer build would take 10 days;received many excuses including "been sent".Asked for tracking numbers;no reply;no computer either.Seller lives in Texas.Can I go to small claims court here(Utah),can I get treble damages?Most of all can I actually collect if I win?Ebay is no help since I did not use paypal.My only income is social security so $1500 is a great deal to me.

Bet the seller had low feedback rating and if you check you would have seen that he sold some cheap stuff to get the rating he had. You were set up. The info the seller gave you is probably fake. If you want to sue, you would want to do it in Texas. You get to pay for the travel expenses too. It's probably best to cut your losses and move on.

Wrong.Seller had high rating and info is correct;I have address,phone number etc.;all are legit.I want to press criminal charges also,but police say not yet possible;WHEN?

One complaint may be a mistake.

100 complaints indicates fraud.

Computer Build ?

You could get one built locally , so you'd have all the help you'd need .

Why on earth would you have an individual on Ebay ,States away build you one ?

Expensive lesson to learn....
