What is the name of your state? TX

:) I had some world series tickets that I auctioned and had a winning bidder for 4 close to 3,000 on the Friday before the Tues game. I contacted the winner and they said they would pick them up on Sunday if I could forgo the pay pal requirement and they would give me cash. On Sat the wrote and said they would meet me on Sunday. That was the last I heard. The window of opportunity for selling the tickets was gone and the game took place without me being able to resell.

any recourse? I know all about ebay dispute filing. and I know I was not to bright about the whole process. just wondering if i have any chance of seeing the $2,700; I myself had paid $2,400 for the tickets but couldn't really go so tried to resell which worked great until the person stiffed me.

I will tell you what IAAL would tell you: When you deal with people across state lines and through the internet you need to understand that scamming comes with it. That was actually a nice version of what IAAL would say, followed by stop shopping across state lines.
Other than that I do not know about legal recourse. You more than likely have it, but you would also have to have the resources to pursue the "purchaser". Much time and much money. Sorry.

You have the Constitutional right and opportunity to sue your buyer in court. Small claims is easy filing. You just need to show that you lost the opportunity to sell becasue of his promise to buy. Send your buyer a demand for payment letter by certified mail (also letting him know of your intent to sue). That starts the process. If he doesn't respond, file the suit.
